Job description

Role summary:

The Qualified Accountant will join a growing team providing a full suite of management accounting and financial reporting services to our Corporate clients.

The role will include bookkeeping, financial reporting, management accounting and other related duties, such that the candidate is involved in all aspects of accounting services to our portfolio of Corporate clients.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and semi-annual management accounts for a portfolio of Corporate clients, in accordance with GAAP (IFRS and FRS 101 and FRS 102;
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements and disclosure notes for a portfolio of Corporate clients, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures;
  • Working closely with the Corporate administration team to ensure that accounting records are accurate and transactions and activity within the portfolio are understood and incorporated into the accounting ledgers as appropriate;
  • Prepare the accounting files for review by Manager and auditors;
  • Planning of audit process, maintenance of audit files and communication with auditors;
  • Ensuring that all day-to-day matters required to be completed are performed in a timely and satisfactory manner including monitoring tasks;
  • Liaise with the Client and other external parties;
  • Coaching of junior team members;
  • Perform other duties to support the Manager and team as may be necessary from time-to-time; and
  • Accurate time recording.

Requirements

Skills / experience:

  • Hold a recognised accounting qualification such as ACA/ ACCA or equivalent;
  • A basic understanding of Jersey TCB law and other related legal and regulatory requirements for example Anti-Money Laundering laws would be preferable;
  • Good working knowledge of FRS 101, FRS 102 and IFRS;
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills;
  • Ability to prioritise and manage several tasks;
  • Cooperative and pro-active attitude.
