Manager / Senior Manager - AIFM

Job description

Role summary:

We are seeking a Manager / Senior Manager (depending on the level of experience) to take over responsibility for servicing Investment Managers & advisors' behalf of our AIFM. You will work closely with the Directors to provide quality and efficient services to all customers within the portfolio.


Key responsibilities: 

  • Becoming a key contact for clients and maintaining a strong relationship with them;
  • Coordinate the setup of client fund structures, to include agreeing the relevant contracts and constitutive and offering documents in cooperation with the legal advisors and service providers;
  • Management of client relationships and ongoing governance of the funds, and being lead contact person with Fund Boards, Investment Managers and across the different service providers, principally the Fund Administrator, Depositary, Auditors and Legal Advisors;
  • Monitor liquidity within the funds and contribute to management of investor transactions, capital calls, distributions, etc.
  • Manage and supervise external service providers to ensure timely delivery of reporting and obligations;
  • Monitor the periodic valuations to ensure they are correctly reflected within financial statements;
  • Monitor the annual audit process and liaise with the auditor and Fund Administrator;
  • Be responsible for the planning, coordination and completion of regulatory obligations and administration requirements;
  • Preparation and implementation of customer specific procedures in relation to administration and reporting requirements for each fund;
  • Ensure compliance with tax and legal obligations advice as given by Legal and Tax Advisors of the fund;
  • Arrange and attend board meetings, draft board reports and ensure timely delivery of results to the board;
  • Ensure that responsibilities are managed effectively and to agreed best practice, regulatory and statutory deadlines.

Requirements

Skills / experience:

  • University degree from in Economics / Finance / Accounting or equivalent educational background;
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience in regulated investment fund industry, preferably in the alternatives industry;
  • Strong knowledge of AIFMD and Fund Management Company Guidance (Consultation Paper 86);
  • Excellent understanding of the alternative fund structures / asset classes (i.e., real estate, private equity, debt);
  • An understanding of Irish statutory laws and other related legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Excellent command of MS Office, especially excel;
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills;
  • Motivated and self-driven.
