Internship – Portfolio Management (m/f) - 6 months

Role summary:

Luxembourg Investment Solutions S.A. (LIS) is a leading third-party Alternative Investment Fund Manager and UCITS management company with a strong focus on Private Equity, Real Estate and Debt Funds.

We help investment managers and investors materialize their investment ideas through turnkey solutions in all aspects of administration and servicing of the investment vehicle and supporting structure.


Key responsibilities:

  • Support of the Investment Management team in the day-to-day-business which includes:

     - Deal review;

     - Monitoring of deal metrics and participating in calls with asset/portfolio management teams and service 

       providers;

     - Transaction settlement;

     - Transaction related data collection;

  • Work on company-wide projects including automation and efficiency projects;
  • Record transaction activity into systems and solutions, including organizing investment committee meetings and minutes;
  • Reconcile investment approvals to legal transaction documents;
  • Filing, scanning and archiving of all relevant transaction documents of the fund and collecting signatures if and where necessary;
  • Any other assignment or initiative originating from the Investment Management team or other business lines of the company, including regulatory and compliance initiatives;
  • Any other duties in the scope of the role that the company requires.

Requirements

Skills / Experience:

  • You are pursuing or finishing a university degree, preferably in Finance or Economics at Bachelor or Masters level from a reputable university;
  • You are fluent in English (Knowledge of French and/or German will be considered an asset together with any other EU languages);
  • Excellent verbal and numerical skills, coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks is required;
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail is a must;
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret legal agreements, investment fund documentation, company data including financials and any other business/fund related documentation;
  • Ability to synthesize information;
  • Hands-on approach and can-do attitude required and expected, coupled with the wish to learn on the spot and in real-life scenarios;
  • Stress resilience and ability to question the status-quo;
  • Knowledge of Private Equity and Real Estate strategies and industry required;
  • Perfect command of Word and Excel with coding skills being a plus;
  • Ability and wish to work in full autonomy while also being also to interact with/preform in team and in project related work.
