Fund Accountant

Job description

Role summary:
The Fund Accountant will be a part of our Hedge Fund division assisting in the administration of various clients. The candidate will be an integral part of the Sanne team, helping to drive client deliverables and internal process efficiencies. This position provides significant growth opportunities.


Key responsibilities:

  • You will perform daily accounting duties including tracking positions/securities, researching and reconciling discrepancies between accounting systems and trade entry systems;
  • Price the fund portfolios and calculate fund NAVs;
  • Calculate fund performance on a daily and monthly basis;
  • Post general ledger entries and perform all monthly close duties including preparing financial statements;
  • You will work with various products including equities, bonds, swaps, options, and futures;
  • Perform quality control to ensure accuracy of all financials;
  • Liaise with clients’ service providers, including tax and audit firms;
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements

Skills / experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or pursuing Master’s degree in Accounting;
  • CPA eligible preferred;
  • 0-2 years of accounting experience;
  • Proficiency in Windows based software including Microsoft Office;
  • Experience in QuickBooks is preferred;
  • Detail oriented and highly analytical;
  • Frequent and clear communication, both written and oral;
  • Have an ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
