Client Accountant

Job description

Role summary:
Sanne is currently seeking a part-qualified client accountant with experience in the funds/financial services industry to support a growing team providing a full suite of financial reporting services and corporate administration to our Debt Clients. The successful candidate will report to a Manager within the Debt Division of Sanne and have responsibility for the accounting and administration of a client portfolio and providing the highest quality of customer service.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work on a portfolio of Debt clients including all aspects of accounting and administration;
  • Provide day to day financial reporting and fund accounting services in accordance with GAAP (primarily IFRS) ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures. This will include:

          - Preparation/Review of weekly cash bookkeeping;
          - Preparation of annual statutory financials statements
          - Review of other reporting required for clients i.e., FVC and SPV statistical reporting;

  • Ensure client responsibilities are managed effectively and to agreed client, best practice, regulatory and statutory deadlines;
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure accounting records are accurate and activity understood and included within accounting ledgers;
  • Preparation of accounting files for audit and involvement in the audit process on relevant deals;
  • Preparation and coordination of tax returns including corporation tax, and VAT returns;
  • Liaise with clients, providing quality and responsive service to clients on a day-to-day basis;
  • Liaising with third parties such as lawyers, auditors, bankers and investment managers as required;
  • Assisting with Transaction Management such as coordinating board meetings for directors;
  • Responsibility for the billing and financial aspects of clients within portfolio, including raising invoices and collection of invoices.

Requirements

Skills / experience:

  • Relevant third level degree;
  • Partially qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA (or equivalent) qualification (who is in the process of completing the exams). There is tremendous scope to grow in this role, particularly once the candidate has qualified;
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills;
  • Experience with Section 110 Companies/ financial services industry a preference. Candidates with funds’ experience will also be considered;
  • Knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP;
  • Motivated and driven.
